PAG Family Festival 2025 – Report

What a fantastic day we had on Monday 17th February.

About 60 people converged on the West End Centre in Aldershot for the annual PAG Family Festival.

The theme was ‘Time Travel’ which opened up people’s imagination! We had a cave girl, 1980’s, 1970’s, two Dr Who’s, Doc Brown from Back to the Future, Luke Skywalker from Star Wars, plus Time itself!

Tina from Funky Faces created some great painted faces. We spent the day in workshops crafting, dancing, singing and enjoying magic with Dan from Playhouse Parties. The specially invited audience came for the grand finale, where everyone could show what they had learned.

Louis and Lucy from SOCO music project produced 4 songs all about super hero powers the families decided they would use to go back in time and save the planet!

Everyone, including the special guests from Parkside Life Group and The Mayor of Rushmoor Cllr Mara Makunura, joined in the final performance of ‘Back in Time’, from the musical Back to the Future.

Thanks to Paul Mannering, we have captured some great photos in the gallery. Huge thanks go to the West End Centre, the tutors and most importantly the volunteers, for making it a day to remember.

Our Charity

Our group is helping others by raising awareness of the need to local authority and other local providers. A huge amount of voluntary hours are spent organising, publicising and running these events. None of our projects could happen without the support of local businesses and charity groups.

Local Support

The nature of events for special needs families involves a greater sensitivity towards individual needs, more people power to ensure enough support and a good deal of fundraising. There is a tremendous amount of time given by volunteers who are all members of the local community. If you can help, please let us know and we will be happy to come along to talk to you.

MADD Club

We hold regular events and clubs open to all special needs children and siblings. We are currently running a very successful MADD (Music, Dance and Musical Theatre) club as well as our annual performance of the special needs pantomime at the Princes Hall.

We contract experienced and qualified tutors who are supported by dedicated volunteers.

We also hold regular family events. See past events page for information.
