About us

Every child has a right to play

Parent Action Group (P.A.G.) for Special Play champions children, young people, and their families, and campaigns for access to activities others may take for granted. Our aim is to increase play provision for children and young people with neurodivergent and physical disabilities.

“We seek to offer our young people and their families the opportunity to experience and join in activities that others may take for granted.”

We are parents too

Supporting families in the Rushmoor and surrounding areas

We are a local charity founded in 2008 and run by a committee of parent volunteers.

“As parents of children and young people with learning and physical disabilities, we know how challenging everyday life can be.”

Campaigning for special play

We work with local authorities and providers

We are proud to enable dance, musical theatre, and music sessions, led by qualified, skilled tutors and supported by enthusiastic volunteers (all are DBS checked). We work with local authorities and providers to increase play provision for children and young people with special needs.

Supporting families

We host meet-ups, trips, and events

Throughout the year, we organise special events. Helping families to connect and support one another. A highlight is our dedicated performance of the pantomime at The Princes Hall, Aldershot, where we offer over 400 subsidised tickets to our families and their children.

Fundraising

We regularly host fundraising events

Championing safe and supported play opportunities for children and young people requires regular fundraising. We host regular fundraising events, ranging from pub quizzes to our charity football match at Aldershot FC’s stadium.
