Volunteers needed in the Rushmoor area

Support a child to play

Meet people, feel part of a friendly community, and get a sense of achievement by supporting children and young adults with neurodivergent and physical disabilities.

Every child has a right to play

Help our children to shine

Help provide accessible play

Feel a sense of achievement

Children with additional needs often can’t access social and leisure activities in the same way as their more able peers. Our purpose is to change this, and our enthusiastic volunteers help us achieve this. By volunteering, you will help us provide accessible play and leisure opportunities.

Help our children shine

Our volunteers are offered support and training. You just need:
  • An interest in music, art, or drama
  • A patient, caring, and understanding nature
  • The ability to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team
All our volunteers are required to complete a reference and CRB check. Experience of working with children or people who are disabled is preferred but not essential. We are particularly interested if you have experience supporting those who are sight and hearing impaired.

Support a child to play

Our weekly clubs are led by qualified, skilled tutors, with each session supported by a small team of volunteers. This informal peer group means we can provide additional care, sensitivity, and support towards individuals attending the clubs.

Whether you can volunteer weekly or at our larger family events and fundraisers, all help is welcome.

Join our friendly team today.

“None of our projects could happen without the support of local businesses and charity groups, and of course, our enthusiastic volunteers.”

We are parent volunteers

Have a question about volunteering?

We are a local charity founded in 2008 and run by a committee of parent volunteers. Read more about us
Parent Action Group (P.A.G.) for Special Play champions children, young people, and their families, and campaigns for access to activities others may take for granted. We work with local authorities and providers to offer weekly drama, musical theatre, and music clubs in Aldershot, as well organise family events and fundraisers throughout the year.
